You can help your own village by
providing leadership. Leadership
is needed for raising funds as
well as overseeing the village
development process. It could
come from a team-some living
abroad and some in the village.
Generally speaking, people
living abroad are in a better
position to contribute
financially and start the ball
rolling for village development.
Our recommendation is that each
NRI family aboard contribute the
equivalent of Rs 1 lac towards
improvements in their village.
We also suggest that a Pillar of
Appreciation be erected in a
prominent place with the names
of all those who contribute 1
Lac or more inscribed on it.
When an entity sponsors a
village, the Sponsor's Name will
be inscribed on it.
Village Life Improvement Program
Foundation in the US is a 501
{c} 3 charitable body. So your
donations to the foundation are
fully tax deductible. And VLIPF
will forward the donation amount
to the village. So you're
invited to take advantage of our
tax free status to help your
village folks lead better lives.
Many villages do not have
adequate resources to partner
their share of development. You
can donate to VILPF so it can in
turn supplement the local
resources of those needy
villages.
